ORIGIN
AND DIFFUSION
Chianina cattle has been bred in Italy for more than 22
centuries and is originally of Val di Chiana, the
location it is named after, situated between Tuscany and
Umbria. It is a very large, pure white, noble breed,
morphologically perfect, still raised according to
traditional systems in green pastures void of sources of
pollution. These are essential factors for the production
of lean meat having distinct organoleptic
characteristics.
Altogether, these characteristics make it one of the best
breeds of beef cattle in the world.
